1. Our approach
Because To My Dear holds personal reflections about the people you cherish, we are committed to collecting and using no more information than the app needs to function.
2. Information stored by the app
The app stores the names, relationships, dates, notes, words to leave, things to give, things still to do, and personal reflections that you enter. It also stores settings needed for the app to work, including display language, onboarding state, and the state of the daily question.
3. Storage and iCloud sync
Your records are stored on your device. When iCloud is available, they are synced through Apple CloudKit to your private iCloud account and may appear on devices using the same Apple ID. Records are not stored on a server operated by the developer.
4. External transmission and sharing
Except for Apple services required for iCloud sync, the app does not send what you enter to external services. We do not sell your records, use them for advertising, provide them to third parties, send them automatically, share them with family members, or send them after death.
5. Advertising, analytics, and tracking
The app includes no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or third-party tracking SDK.
6. Deleting your data
You can delete everything saved in To My Dear from Settings in the app. Deletion cannot be undone. When iCloud sync is active, deletions may be reflected on other devices using the same Apple ID. Deleting the app from a device alone may not delete records already stored in iCloud.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be announced on this page or within the app.
